YouTube, acquired by Google in 2006, is stepping up their game in an awesome way. To get better, more innovative, more creative, more professional content, they have developed the YouTube Creator Institute, designed to give content creators the necessary tools for unique projects … the types of projects large or small businesses might want to incorporate into their marketing and branding initiatives.

45 video makers/vloggers have been selected to participate in the project. Recognizing the work of creative types, not only for art’s sake or personal projects but for the value they bring to businesses (especially given the social landscape and impact on marketing and generating revenue), is not always easy to come by.

A major goal of the training program is to help serious artists utilize their talent and skills in order to make a living for themselves and become recognized as professionals and leaders in their industry. YouTube head of strategic partner development & programs, Tom Sly, said:

We want to enable these folks to make a living and have their content be more than a parttime job. We want to have more folks making six figures off of YouTube and to bring more and better content onto the platform to satisfy users.

Well, heck yeah!

The YouTube Creator Institute, YouTube NextUp and their Partner Grants Program will enable vloggers to see out their ideas, invest in equipment, and be seen thanks to training, funding and promotional efforts.
